Weekly Update 11.8-11.12

Construction at our Five Farms campus is moving along as our construction crew is hard at work securing the foundation of the existing building and future additions!

The construction crew has put up a temporary wall in the Tap Room, which allows them to take down the back wall and extend the dining space without impacting the rest of the building. In addition, demolition has begun in the Gentlemen’s Locker Room, the future accessway to the rooftop terrace, and the old loading dock wall was knocked down. They also completed the service testing for the new water lines.

The construction crew has started twisting helical piles into the ground where the East Terrace Room will be.  Helical piles are round hollow shafts or square solid shafts coming from steel. They provide foundational support for large structures and are embedded at least 25 to 30 feet into the ground to disperse the weight which will sit on top of them. The structure and spacing of these piles will support the concrete and foundation of this room.
